So I did what any one would do! I Cut it so it was even and so it looked fine.
I think I was so sick that I wanted to cry. Katelynn at first was very proud of her self. Then trying not to hurt her feelings I said she needs to come to me if she wants to do something like this and always ask for scissors. I made her take a look in the mirror and told her we have to even it out and that she's going to have short hair. She was so sad that she said her good byes and told her hair she will miss it. For her birthday she got a Rapunzel barbie which came with scissors that are plastic and fake. They allow you to cut her hair that can be placed back on after cutting. For some reason I think this put false thoughts in to her head.
She said she has learned her lesson!

Oh yes! The DREADED scene! My 3yr old has done it TWICE! I was sooooooo mad the second time!! Scissors went into the garbage! (mom & dad's scissors totally hidden up HIGH) But, Katelyn looks adorable with short hair!!
Grace cut her hair too....not that dramatically...but cut. I hid all the scissors. Katelynn looks darling with short hair. Make lemons into lemonade...
My little girl did that 3 times in one year. It was horrible. Her hair is finally growing out again. We did keep it short for awhile. I finally bought her a cheap head doll that she could cut the hair on til her heart was content. When she realized how ugly it was one day, I told her that her hair was going to look like that one day if she kept cutting hers. That was the end of the cutting spree.
Your little girl's hair is darling though!
Did you cut her hair? If so, you did a great job. Her hair looks way cute!
At least she cut her own hair. I remember my sister cut the neighbor girls hair when we were little. Try explaining that one to a very upset mom.
